Peace Country Region
Peace Country in Alberta extends from Grande Cache in the south, west to the BC border, east to Fox Creek and north to Manning and Red Earth Creek. The region serves 130,000 residents from the area and many more from eastern BC, northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
The City of Grande Prairie is the largest urban centre in Alberta's Peace Country. Grande Prairie has all the features of a big city without the inconveniences. Accommodation is reasonably priced, traffic problems don’t exist, the city is safe and all the services, amenities and recreation opportunities of a large centre can be found close by.
Going south, Grande Cache is situated in the dramatic and breathtaking Rocky Mountains. To the north, our communities are nestled throughout some of Alberta’s richest agricultural lands, near stunning river valleys and among our vast and rugged boreal forest lands.
