"I try to support local business where ever possible. However, I will be searching for another supplier for potatoes. I have bought two ten pound bags of red table potatoes in the past month. The bag says they are Canada #1 but nearly every potato is damaged. Some have a tunnel like a small worm hole right into the center.Some have surface blemishes which require cutting away a large part of the potato. Some have greyish areas just below the skin surface. I would say 30-40% of every bag goes into the compost. I understand that this hasn't been the best of growing seasons but to classify these potatoes as Canada #1 is wrong. If I am able to use only 30% of what I buy, then the price should reflect that."
