Carson Pegasus is a Provincial Park and campground is located 205 kms North West of Edmonton via highway 22 and just 21 km North of the Town of Whitecourt, Alberta.

The park is one of Alberta's most popular trout fishing spots and is home to a wide variety of mammals and numerous bird species. A seawall makes fishing easy for those without boats.


Reservations
To reserve Call (780) 778-2664 8:15 to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday beginning the first business day in May.
Carson Pegasus reserves up to 80 sites. We strongly recommend reservations for all weekends.
Group camp reservations can be made beginning the first business day in January.

About Carson Pegasus
The Park preserves mixed wood forests of aspen, balsam poplar, balsam fir and white spruce, as well as willow shorelines, black spruce bogs, grass marshes, and fens. This is a perfect mix for hiking and enjoying the outdoors.

Park Rules
Carson Pegasus is a family oriented campground. Our goal is to provide a safe, secure and relaxing camping experience for all our guests:

  • Pets must be leashed at all times
  • For Hygenic reasons dogs are not allowed on the beach and you must pick up after your dog elsewhere in the park
  • Liquor is only allowed within your registered campsite
  • Keep all vehicles on paved or gravel surfaces
  • Please have visitors park in approved parking lots
  • Build fires in the firepits provided
  • Don't cut or damage flowers, shrubs or trees
  • Quiet hours are 11 pm to 7 am, all radios and stereos must be turned off
  • Check-out time is 2pm

Each camping unit, tent or motorhome must have a separate registration

Group Camp Information
Carson Pegasus offers a group camp for gatherings ranging from 5-20 camping units. These areas come with their own private facilities and have proven popular with church, youth and scout groups, sports teams, and family reunions.

The Group Camp fee is $50.00 per night plus $20.00 per unit with a minimum of 5 units. $20.00/night for each additional unit.
Group Camp reservations begin the first working day of January for the upcoming season by contacting our reservation office at (780) 778-2664.
Reservations are recommended as some dates are in high demand.
Your group must identify a Group Leader to act as a liaison between the park and your group. The Group Leader will receive an information package about the park and will be responsible for collecting camping fees from the group
